Michelin-starred chef Adam Handling gave a presentation at an event hosted by the British Embassy at the Ankara Hilton Hotel.
Chef Handling, who came to Ankara for the event organized as part of the GREAT campaign, presented British cuisine. Handling stated that British cuisine is a rich cuisine that is not limited to fish and chips and roast beef, as is commonly believed, and added that they organize trainings to pass on British food culture to future generations.
“We Don’t Want Waste”
Chef Adam Handling, a member of the Royal British Kitchen, said that there is a lot of waste in the kitchen business and that they are doing very important work on this issue. The chef also stated that canapés and appetizers are made with leftover ingredients from meals, and emphasized that food producers need to be supported and shown the respect they deserve.
“Get to Know My Crazy Mind”
Michelin-starred British chef Adam Handling gave a tasting presentation at the event, presenting his award-winning dish called “food fight” for the participants to experience. The dish, which contains flower petals, truffles and many different flavors, was presented by the chef with the words “Get to know my crazy mind”.
Chef Handling will be offering special flavors at the Hilton Hotel during his stay in Ankara.
