Saygı Duyulan Baba adlı sergisinin açılışı Kore Kültür Merkezi sergi salonunda gerçekleştirildi. Kore Kültür Merkezi ve Chilgok Sanat Merkezi işbirliğinde düzenlenen serginin açılışında Kore Cumhuriyeti Büyükelçisi Yeondoo Jeong, Chilgok Sanat Merkezi Başkanı Seo Se Seung’un yanı sıra sanatçılar ve sanatseverler yer aldı. 22 Kore çağdaş sanat eserinin yer aldığı sergide bulunan çalışmalar arasındaki Atatürk’ü betimleyen eser yoğun ilgi gördü.

Chilgok Sanat Merkezi Başkanı Seo Se Seung ile birlikte Kwon Ki-taek, Kim Kyeol-soo, Noh Yeol ve Shim Hong-jae gibi sanatçıların, koca, baba ve erkek figürlerini çağdaş sanat aracılığıyla yeniden yorumlayıp ele aldıkları eserler Kore Kültür Merkezi’ndeki Saygı Duyulan Baba sergisinde sanatseverlerin ilgisine sunuldu. Özellikle, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kurucu lideri ve ilk Cumhurbaşkanı olan Ulu Önder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün betimleyen eserinin de sergilenmesi, açılışa katılan ziyaretçilerin sergiye olan ilgisini artırdı.

Açılış töreni, Shim Hongjae’nin “Atatürk’ün İzleri” adlı performans sanatıyla başladı. Bu performans, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin 101. yılını anmak amacıyla, saygı duyulan lider Atatürk’ün izlerini takip eden Türk halkının ayak izlerini ifade ediyordu. Ayrıca, Chilgok Sanat Merkezi Başkanı Seo Se Seung, “Saygı Duyulan Baba” adlı sergiyi Kore Kültür Merkezi’nde sergilemekten onur duyduğunu belirterek, “Açılış törenine katılan herkesin, kendi babalarını saygı ve sevgiyle anan, sevgi dolu bir aileye sahip olmasını diliyorum” dedi.

Kore Cumhuriyeti Büyükelçisi Yeondoo Jeong ise “Bu, Kore’nin çağdaş sanatı aracılığıyla saygıdeğer baba, tanrı olarak adlandırılan baba hakkında düşünmek için iyi bir fırsat” diyerek, “Umarım Kore ve Türkiye arasındaki ilişkiler, sanat aracılığıyla daha da derinleşir” ifadelerini kullandı.

Saygı Duyulan Baba sergisi 2 Eylül Pazartesi gününden 20 Eylül Cuma gününe kadar Kore Kültür Merkezi’nde görülebilir.

Respected Father Exhibition Opens at the Korean Cultural Center

The opening of the exhibition titled “Respected Father” took place at the Korean Cultural Center’s exhibition hall. Attendees included Yeondoo Jeong, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Seo Se Seung, the President of the Chilgok Art Center, as well as artists and art enthusiasts. The exhibition, organized in collaboration between the Korean Cultural Center and Chilgok Art Center, featured 22 contemporary Korean art pieces, among which the artwork depicting Atatürk received significant attention.

Artworks by artists such as Kwon Ki-taek, Kim Kyeol-soo, Noh Yeol, and Shim Hong-jae, who reinterpreted and addressed figures of husband, father, and man through contemporary art, were presented at the “Respected Father” exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center. The inclusion of the artwork depicting Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding leader and first President of the Republic of Turkey, particularly increased the visitors’ interest in the exhibition.

The opening ceremony began with Shim Hongjae’s performance art piece titled “Traces of Atatürk.” This performance expressed the footprints of the Turkish people following the revered leader Atatürk, in commemoration of the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. Additionally, Seo Se Seung, the President of the Chilgok Art Center, expressed honor in showcasing the “Respected Father” exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center and wished that everyone attending the opening ceremony would have a loving family that cherishes and respects their own fathers.

Ambassador Yeondoo Jeong stated, “This is a good opportunity to reflect on the revered father, also referred to as a god, through Korea’s contemporary art. I hope that relations between Korea and Turkey deepen further through art.”

The “Respected Father” exhibition will be on view at the Korean Cultural Center from Monday, September 2, to Friday, September 20.
