Açılış konseri öncesinde Başman ailesi konuklarını karşıladı. Gecenin onur konuğu olan 10. Cumhurbaşkanı Ahmet Necdet Sezer, torunu İlke Kısacıkoğlu ile birlikte salona girdiği sırada yaklaşık 1500 kişilik seyirci topluluğu tarafından uzun bir süre ayakta alkışlandı. Konseri izleyenler arasında Özden Toker, Gülsün Bilgehan, İtalya’nın Ankara Büyükelçisi Giorgio Marrapodi, Avusturya’nın Ankara Büyükelçisi Gabriele Juen, Hırvatistan’ın Ankara Büyükelçisi Hrvoje Cvitanovic ve Bosna-Hersek’in Ankara Büyükelçisi Mirsada Colakovic ile iş, cemiyet ve sanat dünyasından çok sayıda tanınmış isim hazır bulundu.

39th International Ankara Music Festival Opens with a Dazzling Performance
The 39th International Ankara Music Festival began with an enchanting concert by the Ankara Festival Orchestra, conducted by Orhun Orhon and featuring acclaimed cellist Benedict Kloeckner. The opening night, held at CSO Ada Ankara and organized by the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation, left the audience spellbound, earning Kloeckner standing ovations for his powerful performance.
Among the distinguished guests were 10th President of Turkiye Ahmet Necdet Sezer, who was warmly welcomed with applause, as well as ambassadors from Italy, Austria, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and prominent names from the worlds of art, business, and society.
In his opening remarks, Foundation Chairman Ali Başman emphasized the legacy of the festival:
“We are proud to celebrate the 39th year of a festival born to honor Ankara as the capital of culture. Despite political and economic challenges over the years, this festival has remained a cornerstone of the city’s artistic life.”
The opening concert was held in memory of Cenap And, co-founder of the foundation. The festival will conclude on April 30 with a performance by the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Fedor Beznosikov, featuring pianist Salih Can Gevrek.
